“I didn’t want to wake up. I was having a much better time asleep. And that’s really sad. It was almost like a reverse nightmare, like when you wake up from a nightmare you’re so relieved. I woke up into a nightmare.” – Ned Vizzini
I did this photo last April, after I made one of the biggest mistakes of my life. It was the turning point for me, where I realized and acknowledged that I need help.
Here I am, 10 months later.
So little has changed.
April 10, 2016:
I haven’t done anything creative in quite a long while. And that’s for many reasons. I’ve been broken and my light went out. Looking back, it was out for quite a long while, and it sometimes takes hitting rock bottom to realize how far you’ve fallen. This is for anyone out there dealing with depression or anxiety, addiction or substance abuse - for anyone suffering loss and sadness. It’s time to reverse the nightmare and get our wings back. #NotBrokenAnymore
